INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

IQAC will facilitate and contribute to –

To focus and clarity level to be heightened in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement and to create the ambience of quality culture.
The enrichment and synchronization of the various institutional activities to create quality learning environment and institutionalize many good practices.
Provide a strong basis for decision making to improve the institutional smooth functioning.
Act as a driving force for change in the institution.
To create better mechanism for internal communication.

Some of the processes and functions of the IQAC are –

To develop and apply quality benchmarks/ parameters for various academic and administrative activities of an institute.
To provide information on various quality parameters of higher education.
Organization of workshops seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
Documentations of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvements.
To act as a platform of benchmark of the institution for the quality related activities.
Preparation of the annual quality assurance report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
Composition – the IQAC may be constituted in every institution under the chairmanship of head of the institution with heads of important academic and administrative units. A few teachers and a few distinguished educationists / representatives of local committees.
